Making a difference

Jose’s father washes dishes to support the family. Jose’s mother cleans hotel rooms. Jose sold his bike, his only transportation, to pay for his books for college. He gets up at 5:00 a.m. to walk 6 miles to college every morning. Jose received the SAPSF scholarship for his first semester in college. Join us in providing Jose with a continued scholarship and serve as a mentor to help students like Jose plan their careers and succeed in college.

Danny’s family was homeless. And then his mother was removed and locked up. Danny’s father has been incarcerated for most of his life. Danny is a two-sport, varsity athlete and maintains a 3.5 grade point average. Danny wants to attend a summer training camp but has no means of paying for it. Join us in sending Danny to sports camp.
Danny
Michelle is a third grade teacher working in a central Santa Ana elementary school. Michelle has been teaching her children about marine science. She has discovered that many of her students have never been to the ocean and none of her students have ever been to a museum. Michelle wants her students to experience a trip to an aquarium, but there are no funds at her school for a field trip. Join us in sending Michelle’s students on a field trip so science becomes real and alive.

Veronica has cared for her mother, a single parent, who has stage 4 cancer. She also takes care of her three younger siblings and maintains a 4.20 grade point average. Veronica wants to major in Biology in college so she can become a physician. Join us in supporting Veronica to attend a summer pre-med career program to help her to prepare for a career in the medical field.

8-year old Guillermo learned to play the violin this summer. He didn’t want to turn in his loaned violin after the program ended. Despite having limited means, Guillermo’s father bought him a violin so he could continue to learn. Join us in helping more children like Guillermo have this opportunity.
