A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS.  Music students must use good posture, correct hand position, relaxed embouchure formation…..all at the same time.  With the iPad, each individual student can be photographed, and then can instantly view all of those physical responses. As an ensemble, they can see how they are bowing at the same time.  As a large group, like a chorus, they can compare posture, body placement, voice mouth formation.  This tool has been so useful for self-assessment in all the physicality of music making.  Also, with video recording, students can hear the sounds immediately for self-correction.  Technology is helping our students become better musicians. Note: Video does not have sound.
