CENA – Caring Educators Nourishing All

The Employees of the Santa Ana Unified School District have a 30 year Holiday tradition of providing  a toy, book and a meal to our students in most need.

There are over 5,600+ homeless students in SAUSD who receive a quality education, support and understanding from our dedicated teachers.

Those teachers and staff throughout the District help to identify the families most in need  across our neighborhoods for the CENA Committee.

The CENA committee, made up of District  employees, put in volunteer hours after work and on weekends to sort toys by age and gender, selecting gifts for all the children in identified families, tagged with each child’s name.

That families toys are put in a big red bag with their name and their schools.

The Santa’s helpers, volunteers from each neighborhood school, pick up their families’ big full gift bag and a food gift certificate for a warm meal.

The volunteers make sure these personalized bags are delivered directly to the families by personally driving  them to their homes.

This process is completely dependent on community, donations.

If your company, church or organization can collect new toys and books, please bring them to our drop off Santa Ana School District CENA drop off at ….

The need for your financial support  is so important in purchasing new toys and gifts to reach our goal of helping our 5,600 students.

The Santa Ana Public Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization

that assists the SAUSD volunteer employees in raising money for this effort and is a 501C3. The Foundation is here to help  you with the donation process, answer questions or provide any paperwork that you may need related to your donation.

Please consider a gift donation to make a special Christmas memory in the lives of families that need it the most!
